What's New at the Owen Legacy Group

2025 Q2 Edition

ANNE ASHTON, CFP®, CWS®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

Spring brought the end of school for the Ashton house, full of parties, 5th grade graduation, a school play, and what felt like 1,000 other events. Now that summer is in full swing, the Ashton children have been enjoying different camps including Horse camp, Bozeman Children’s theater camp, MSU Basketball camp, Martial arts, and Arts and Architecture at the Emerson. Margaux is currently attending her first sleepaway camp with YAA, and Charlie will attend diabetes sleepaway camp in Kalispell later in the summer. The Ashtons spent a wonderful 4th of July in Ennis with so many cousins, playing on the boat and having fun. They were grateful for the rain, not only because of the rainbows, but it also made fireworks much more fun. The Ashton family is looking forward to more long days at the pool, trail riding in the mountains, golfing as a family, and playing at the lake.

CARRIE MCALEER, CWS®, FPQP®
Senior Registered Practice Coordinator

The sunshine, warmth, and green yards have been a welcome sight to the McAleer family. They have been enjoying the arrival of summertime and all the activities that come with it. Lots of backyard time, visits to the golf course, and neighborhood bike rides have ensured a successful start to their favorite season. Brody completed his first few months of “Ninja” martial arts classes and is looking forward to beginning his next session in September. He said goodbye to his training wheels and is now proudly cruising around the neighborhood on two wheels! Finley is growing like a weed, learning lots of new words, speeding down the sidewalk on her scooter, loving books, and always happy to “drive” Brody in a golf cart. Jon is fully immersed in the golf season but still makes regular trips with Brody to the driving range to hit balls. In April, Carrie joined Brenda and Anne on a trip to New York City to attend AdvisorHub’s 2025 Women’s Summit and support Anne who had been asked to speak. Anne did an incredible job presenting, and the ladies had a wonderful time exploring the Big Apple. In late June, the McAleer’s spent a week in North Idaho visiting with Jon’s family and enjoying all the Palouse has to offer.

BRENDA KITTO, CFP®, CWS®
Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Assistant Branch Manager

Brenda had a spring full of birthday celebrations and family gatherings. At the end of May, Brenda joined several of her closest friends in Arizona for a 50th birthday weekend (for her friend) enjoying pool time, shopping, and great food. In June, her oldest granddaughter turned 12, so a party at the splatter paint room in Bozeman was a request and huge hit. Finishing out the quarter, Brenda’s sisters and cousins visited for a 50th birthday celebration (this time for her sister) complete with J’Allen Leigh handbags, time with family and school friends, nostalgic trips to VC, Twin Bridges, Sheridan, the Ennis rodeo (with a family first–2nd place in the calf dressing event), trail hikes up Hyalite, a Madison River float, as well as an underground tour in Butte and a first-ever Wop Chop. Next up in July will be annual camping trips to Crow Creek, fishing, and other favorites in Montana.

ALLEGRA MOHR
Registered Client Associate

Allegra and her husband, Collin, have had a wonderful start to the summer. They kicked it off by taking full advantage of the warmer weather. Allegra’s brother and sister-inlaw flew up from Nashville for a long weekend camping trip. They saw lots of beautiful sights along many different hiking trails. Allegra really enjoyed seeing them and showing them around her new home. Next, Allegra and Collin drove out to Missoula for another concert at the KettleHouse Amphitheater. They saw one of Allegra’s favorite bands play which was a dream come true. The Mohrs have also enjoyed a few day trips out to Canyon Ferry Lake for some boating and sunshine. They topped it all off with a 4th of July barbeque with friends and lots of fireworks!

SOPHIE MILLINGTON
Client Associate

Sophie has had an exciting spring and beginning of summer, filled with travel and live music. In May, she and Bradley took a quick trip to Phoenix to see one of her favorite artists, The Weeknd, in concert, which exceeded their expectations. While there, they enjoyed some extra downtime lounging by the pool and catching up with family in the Arizona sunshine. For the 4th of July, Sophie joined her family and friends at the Zootown Festival in Missoula, where they soaked in the amazing festival atmosphere and live music. To close out the quarter, Sophie spent a peaceful weekend boating on Holter Lake, enjoying the warm weather, scenic views, and much needed time on the water.

MORGAN OWEN, CFP®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

The Owen family has had a busy summer so far. In May, they traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate the marriage of Marisa’s cousin. Oliver had the honor of being the ring bearer which he took very seriously and did a wonderful job. While in LA, the Owens spent time at the beach, and Oliver really enjoyed the Long Beach Aquarium. Since then, Morgan and his family have been enjoying the beautiful weather in Bozeman with plenty of time on the water. As June came to a close, the Owens hosted a group of Marisa’s high school friends and their families for an authentic Montana experience. The Bozeman rodeo was a big hit! Most importantly, little Theo celebrated his 1st birthday on July 4. Theo continues to be a bundle of joy and melts our hearts with his big, beautiful smile.
