KAYLEE SIMKINS

Client Associate

Kaylee’s winter was full of surprise and celebration. She was able to ski a few times and enjoy all the snowy mountains have to offer. One of the most memorable trips she had this winter was to Big Sky. On the top of the mountain surrounded by her family, Kaylee’s boyfriend Tanner proposed. She looks forward to getting to plan her wedding and this exciting next chapter of her life.

CARRIE MCALEER, FPQP™, CWS®

Senior Registered Practice Coordinator

Carrie spent the start of 2023 on maternity leave, enjoying the cold winter days at home with Brody and baby Finley. The family of four spent as much time as possible outside playing in the snow, sledding, and “helping” Daddy shovel. Brody has officially accepted Finley as a member of the family despite her inability to play golf or throw a ball with him yet. In mid-February, they braved the roads and spent a week in Northern Idaho introducing Finnie to Jon’s side of the family. Despite the frigid temperatures and challenging roads, they had a wonderful visit. As we enter April, Carrie is anxiously awaiting warmer temperatures, melting snow and the true arrival of spring.

BRENDA KITTO, CFP®, CWS®

Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Assistant Branch Manager

Brenda and her family enjoyed an activities-based trip to Orlando, Florida over spring break, where they enjoyed their time at Islands of Adventures, Universal Studios (especially the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and Volcano Bay water park. The family also ventured over to the Atlantic Coast and spent a few days at Cocoa Beach and visited the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. While vacationing, they were able to take in some Florida sunshine and enjoyed several delicious meals. Back in Bozeman, the snow seems to keep falling! Next up is to officially move their oldest daughter, Macee, into her new home just down the road and help her settle in; it’s been a long time coming, and everyone is excited for the year ahead.

ANNE ASHTON, CFP®, CWS®

Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

Anne had a wonderful start to 2023, jam-packed with fun and family. All three of the Ashton kids enjoyed ski lessons and spending time at Bridger Bowl, the older two are trying basketball for the first time and enjoying it immensely. There have been many family gatherings to be grateful for including travel to Hawaii, birthdays, holidays and most recently, Easter. Anne also had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the World Equestrian Games in Omaha, Nebraska it was incredible and inspiring. In addition, Omaha was a wonderful host city—fun, clean and vibrant.

MORGAN OWEN, CFP®

Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

Morgan and his family had an excellent first quarter kicked off by a great trip to Hawaii to escape this snowy Montana winter. They were able to travel with their extended family and enjoyed the sunshine and beaches. Oliver enjoyed the time with his cousins and grandparents, and there is nothing better than a bunch of kids soaking up the sun while covered in sand. Once back in Montana, they fell back into their normal winter routine of skiing as much as possible. Oliver is learning quickly, and, like his dad, he loves skiing. Morgan also went back to Cooke City, Montana for his annual backcountry ski trip with friends. They were blessed with great conditions yet again! Lastly, Oliver celebrated his third birthday on March 27. The last three years have flown by but could not have been more fun. As it starts to warm up, they are looking forward to longer warm days and another great summer in Montana.

LEAH BARRETT, FPQP™

Senior Registered Associate

Leah had a great winter snowboarding, winter hiking and spending time at home. Since last summer, she has been on more airplanes than she can count, traveling to visit Simon and his dog Trott. Her last visit out east, Leah took a leap into a new adventure and tried out a skydive simulating wind tunnel. Perhaps the next time she travels out east she will do the real thing and take a leap out of a plane! Leah is looking forward to the summer for all the fun activities and is excited that Simon and Trott will be driving out to Montana to spend a month together in Bozeman.
