2024 Q4: What's New at Owen Legacy Group

What's New at the Owen Legacy Group

2024 Q1 Edition

MORGAN OWEN, CFP®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

The Owens had a wonderful holiday season surrounded by family and full of fun. They were so glad to stay home and have Marisa’s parents visit from California for Thanksgiving. There is much to be thankful for, especially their newest addition, baby Theo! Christmas was a blast as usual, spent surrounded by the whole Owen clan. Christmas certainly feels a little different and more exciting with seven cousins under the age of ten. In between the celebrating, great meals, and spending time with family, they have been taking advantage of the new snow with lots of sledding
and skiing adventures. Oliver especially enjoys skiing when it is followed by hot chocolate and French fries. They are looking forward to a fantastic 2025 and watching their little family continue to grow!

ANNE ASHTON, CFP®, CWS®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager

The Ashton family had a wonderful long fall. For the first time in recent memory, they had enough time to get ready for winter. Since they were so prepared for winter, they thought they would add a little disorder; this came in the form of a German Shorthair puppy. The Ashton children have named her Princess Mathilda Pickle Butt or Tilly for short. The days of quiet and calm are now in the past and now that the snow is here, the Ashtons have been out skiing at Bridger Bowl and Red Lodge Mountain. They spent Thanksgiving in Red Lodge with cousins and Christmas at home with all seven of the Owen grandchildren. As you can imagine it was absolute chaos and very fun. They enjoyed all Bozeman has to offer around the holidays including the Christmas stroll, the Nutcracker, going to see Santa, a wreath-making workshop at Riverside, school concerts and other fun holiday experiences. The Ashton family looks forward to a great ski season and hopefully a getaway to somewhere warm.

CARRIE MCALEER, CWS®, FPQP®
Senior Registered Practice Coordinator

The McAleer family did their best to squeeze the most out of the final few months of 2024. In October, they made a trip to Moscow, Idaho, to see family, friends, and take the kids to their first Vandal football game! Brody and Finley loved the popcorn, screaming indoors, and learning the IDAHO fight song! The rest of October was spent enjoying the warm fall weather and “helping” their Papa with yard work. With Brody’s encouragement, the entire family dressed up as Star Wars characters for Halloween and enjoyed trick-or-treating downtown. In early December, the family celebrated Finley’s 2nd birthday with a small family party at home. The holidays were spent in Bozeman, and despite the lack of snow, the family had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s with family and friends.

BRENDA KITTO, CFP®, CWS®
Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Assistant Branch Manager

Brenda had a wonderful fall, spending time watching her daughter, Jenna, play for the Bozeman Hawks volleyball team. Jenna was able to suit up for the Varsity team as they took 2nd at the state AA tournament. Watching this incredible group of girls and their coaches show so much grit, grace, and class was a highly rewarding experience. After putting away the uniforms, Brenda and her family joined some good friends and enjoyed the sun and sand of Puerto Vallarta for several days before Thanksgiving. They were even able to catch the Cat-Griz game at a rooftop pool. The month of December was a blur with Bobcat football, changes in the office and additional workload, as well as, the usual holiday gatherings, gift shopping, and preparation for Christmas. She and her husband also celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary! The Kittos stayed close to home for the holidays and enjoyed fishing, Chico, and a lot of good food, family time, and games. Looking ahead, Brenda will have some kind of travel planned almost every month of 2025; turning 50 hasn’t been so bad!

ALLEGRA MOHR
Registered Client Associate

The Mohrs had a relatively calm holiday season. Allegra and Collin travelled to Ennis to visit the in-laws and share a beautiful Thanksgiving feast. It was lovely for them to be surrounded by family and to spend time with the nieces and nephews. Allegra has reignited her love for baking during this cold season and enjoyed creating several holiday desserts. Allegra and Collin had a quiet Christmas and were thankful to not be travelling this year. The best part of this last quarter for the Mohrs has been the snow. Allegra and Collin have taken full advantage with activities like ice skating and skiing. They look forward to continuing the trend for the rest of the season. Overall, the past few months have been a nice break from the busy summer season.

SOPHIE MILLINGTON
Client Associate

Sophie and her family wrapped up 2024 with a memorable few months, filled with special moments with family and friends. In October, Sophie and Bradley took a trip to Seattle for a friend’s wedding and enjoyed the beautiful Washington fall scenery and a few final rounds of golf before winter began. November and December were full of holiday festivities, as they spent quality time with their families. They celebrated Christmas at home in Bozeman before heading to Phoenix to welcome the New Year in warmer weather.
