What's New at the Owen Legacy Group
2025 Q1 Edition
BRENDA KITTO, CFP®, CWS®
Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Assistant Branch Manager
Brenda and her family have been busy following Jenna either with statewide travel for Bozeman Hawk basketball, or cross-country travel to Boston, Sacramento, and Salt Lake for club volleyball. While in Boston in February, the family was surprised by a visit from East Coast cousins. They got to see many of the historical sites of the city, and even got to eat world-famous lobster rolls and seafood boils. Brenda’s husband, Jeff, sang the part of Pirelli in Sweeney Todd with Opera Montana earlier this year, and she was able to attend the show with her good friend, Karen. What a production at the Ellen! For spring break, the Kitto girls spent time in Arizona with close family friends, while enjoying some shopping and sunshine. To finish out the month, Jenna went to Prom with a great group of friends who enjoyed brunch and bouquets at the Kitto’s prior to the big dance. Last but certainly not least, Brenda’s youngest daughter, Kate, is officially a permit driver. Watch out!
SOPHIE MILLINGTON
Client Associate
After a relaxing trip to Phoenix in January, Sophie and Bradley embraced the winter in Montana, enjoying cozy days at home and enjoying the snow. In March, Sophie took a trip to Wisconsin to cheer on her sister’s college gymnastics team at regionals, where they took second place – then celebrated their national championship win two weeks later. The end of the quarter was filled with family time, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays together, as well as some much-needed puppy time with Bradley’s parents’ new puppy, Emmie. Now, Sophie is looking forward to the upcoming summer months and all the adventures they will bring.
CARRIE MCALEER, CWS®, FPQP®
Senior Registered Practice Coordinator
The McAleer’s jumped right into 2025, enjoying the cold and snowy weather that finally arrived in Bozeman! Brody and Finley did their best to wear out their sleds AND their parents with requests to be pulled all over the neighborhood. Brody was thrilled to put on his first pair of skis this year and ride up the magic carpet at Bridger Bowl. He loves going fast, being outside, and the hot chocolate waiting for him in the lodge. In March, his cousins from Ohio visited and joined him for a beautiful sunny day on the ski hill. Finley is growing like a weed and does her best to keep up with her big brother. She takes full advantage of the occasional warm spring days, and loves being outside cruising the neighborhood on her purple scooter from Santa Clause.
ALLEGRA MOHR
Registered Client Associate
It has been a lovely start to the year for the Mohrs. Allegra and her husband took advantage of the end of the winter season and went ice fishing with some friends. No one caught anything, but the experience was well worth it. They also had the opportunity to see a super exciting skijoring event in Big Sky. Allegra had never seen anything like it before, and they had a blast. The Mohrs also had some changes as they moved into a new apartment and have spent the last few weeks trying to get everything settled and unpacked. Though the winter season has been full of fun, Allegra is looking forward to the coming summer season. Bring on the sunshine!
MORGAN OWEN, CFP®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager
Morgan and his family have had an amazing winter filled with plenty of skiing, family, and even a little sunshine. At the end of January, Morgan ventured to British Columbia for a weeklong backcountry ski trip. It was a great week with friends, and Morgan enjoyed some amazing skiing and a rare week out of cell service, taking the opportunity to really connect with the mountains. Oliver has continued to really enjoy skiing with his dad and has graduated from the bunny hill to tackling the entire mountain. It is so fun to watch his progression. In March, the Owens flew to Southern California with the Ashtons to escape the cold and snow and get some much-needed sunshine. It was an amazing week filled with small adventures and plenty of pool time. The Owens celebrated Oliver’s 5th birthday at the end of March. Time really does fly when you are having fun! With the change of seasons, they are putting away the skis and looking forward to warmer weather and fun summer activities.
ANNE ASHTON, CFP®, CWS®
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager
Anne and her family have had a lovely first quarter of 2025. They spent most weekends at Bridger Bowl skiing and eating french fries with friends and cousins. They were able to spend spring break in Palm Desert with Morgan and his family thawing out and spending every possible second in the pool. Anne got away for a long weekend to Charleston with some of her high school friends. They had such a lovely time that they booked their next year’s trip right then and there. The entire Ashton family is anxiously anticipating the longer days of summer, playing outside, and enjoying some less structured time.
