What's New at the Owen Legacy Group
2019 Q3 Edition: Morgan Owen
It seems that winter has arrived early to Montana and snow has covered the mountains surrounding Bozeman. This is an exciting time of year for Morgan whose favorite winter activity is spending time with friends and family on the ski slopes. Over the last couple of years, Morgan has another reason to be excited: he has taken his passion of skiing and channeled it into volunteering with the Bridger Bowl Foundation (BBF). Originally created in 2004, the mission of the Bridger Bowl Foundation is to provide funding for recreational activities and education programs at Bridger Bowl that facilitate skill development and improve life experiences for present and future generations of area residents throughout South West Montana. This translates, in large part, to help underprivileged youth achieve their dream of being able to ski at Bridger by supporting great programs and providing funding for lessons, rentals, and passes. For the last two years, Morgan has been leading this charge as the President of the Foundation. Last year alone the foundation was able to support nearly 300 ski days for local children who otherwise would not have the means to enjoy a ski day at Bridger Bowl.
Skiing is an expensive sport, but it is an important part of growing up in this beautiful place. It connects us to the mountains and the winter in a way that nothing else can. Morgan has truly enjoyed being able to combine his passion for skiing with the opportunity to bring his passion to those who would otherwise be left behind. He hopes to see some of you out on the slopes in a few short months, and if you want to learn more about what Bridger Bowl Foundation is doing in our community, give him a call!
